Understanding the quotation outcome

Once I have created my group quote with the information received, I need to review and correctly interpret its result.

How do I proceed? The quotation generated will include accommodation price recommendations and an analysis of revenue, profit and forecast.

On the right hand side, price recommendations by space and occupancy will be displayed. The recommended price is the optimum value but also a minimum and maximum price range will be given in case you need to negotiate the offered rate with the group.

Remember: the recommended prices apply per room and night, on room only basis, VAT and all supplements for space and extra people are included. Only supplements to be added manually are regime supplements, shown in the upper part of the table. In case you don’t accept the recommended price, you will be able to modify the column “Offered rate” and the whole analysis shown on the right will be recalculated.

The left side is a graphical representation of the results and how the hotel forecast will be affected. Please note that the results are calculated in real time based on the rate entered in the “Offered rate” column. The graph shows:

  • Generated accommodation revenue
  • Displacement
  • Group’s accommodation profitability (accommodation revenue minus displacement)
  • A comparison of the forecast without and with the group value


In case you need to expand the information in your quote, we offer a table view with the most important data to detail your group analysis. You will see that these data are displayed in terms of ADR and occupancy.

Status of group bookings have been included: prospect (PRO), tentative (TEN), and confirmed (CONF) so that you can evaluate how this quote affects the current status of your group bookings in the system.


Remember: Values shown in the graph and in the table are net and, therefore, VAT is not included.

Important: in order to get the correct analysis, it is important to have updated the VAT values of your property in the Configuration menu > Pricing > General.

The quotation can be saved or discarded by creating a draft. Both options will be saved as a new entry in the quotation list displayed in the Group Management module main screen.
